Astaíre is an online writer, born and raised in the Philippines who mainly writes in the romance-drama genre. She gained recognition for her work during her time in Episode Interactive — an online interactive app. Her past Episode stories were: IN A FLASH & IRREPLACEABLE YOU.
She is currently working on a novel version of IN A FLASH, with a completely different setting and writing style.
I began writing when I was about 8 or 9— the same time I got fascinated with reading children’s stories. I’ve always been fascinated with arts: from drawing, to crafts, and creating stories. I remember writing a fairy tale with all my drawings in them as if it was a graphic novel…Looking back now, it seems that I am more of a visual story-teller which is why I sometimes struggle with descriptive writing unless I set the scene in my mind.
I enjoy watching cinema & studying everything there is to film theory which is why whenever I tell my stories, I imagine them in a cinematic perspective. I am a plagued perfectionist which is sometimes a curse as it never amounts to finishing any of my unreleased projects. Hopefully, I get to actually finish a draft.
